На семи мемориалах в Новгородской области не горит Вечный огонь. В Новгородской области Вечный огонь постоянно горит лишь на пяти мемориалах из 13, остальные семь не работают по разным причинам — в основном, из-за отсутствия газификации. Как сообщает корреспондент ИА REGNUM, ситуация обсуждалась сегодня, 29 октября, на заседании областного штаба Общероссийского народного фронта (ОНФ). По данным мониторинга, который провели новгородские активисты ОНФ, Вечный огонь не горит в Демянске, Малой Вишере, посёлке Неболчи Любытинского района, в Окуловке, Хвойной, Поддорье и Холме. Большинство этих муниципалитетов не газифицировано, поэтому Вечный огонь зажигают в праздничные дни с помощью газа из баллонов или автономных установок. Участники встречи отметили, что вопрос подключения мемориалов с Вечным огнём должен быть решён органами местного самоуправления до 1 мая 2015 года. По мнению новгородских активистов ОНФ, к 70-летию Великой Победы все Вечные огни в Новгородской области «должны гореть, и гореть, не угасая». http://www.regnum.ru/news/polit/1861490.html
